Job Description:

Do you have an innate mechanical aptitude? Does your experience with manufacturing equipment allows you to trouble shoot? If so, the Plymouth Pro Staff has a great opportunity for you! A company in Plymouth is seeking a Maintenance Technician--Overnight Shift.  This is a temp-to-hire or possibly a direct hire if the right candidate is found. Compensation is 21.63 and the shift is overnight, 6pm to 6am, with a rotating schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 off.  Qualified candidates are encourage to apply online now or submit your resume to Plymouth@Prostaff.com. Job Responsibilities:
-Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment by observing mechanical devices in operation and/or listening for problems
-Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance
-Build assemblies of company assets and install as needed
-Install new equipment according to manufacturer specifications and management requirements
-Design, implement and manage preventative maintenance programs for all mechanical equipment and tools
-Install, maintain, repair, adjust, troubleshoot and inspect equipment and supplies necessary to perform duties
-Review the need for and request tools, equipment and supplies necessary to perform duties
-Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
-Work directly with engineers, machinist, assemblers and machine operators

Requirements:
-Excellent mechanical aptitude
-Familiar with electrical aspects and troubleshooting electronics
-Ability to read blueprints and assembly instructions provided by manufacturers and our engineering department
-Forklift Certified
-Able to work overtime as required
-Self-starter and willing to perform other related duties as required
-Execute with verbal work instructions
-Excellent communication/comprehension skills
-Enjoy a challenging work environment
-Excellent English written and spoken skills

Work Experience:
-3-6 years of industrial maintenance or a similar environment performing comparable tasks as required for this position
-PLC experience preferred but not mandatory
