Job Summary: 

Our client is searching for an IT Support Specialist who can maintain our end user devices in Minneapolis and support remote users. The ideal candidate will provide installation, maintenance and support service for the entire enterprise network. The successful candidate will work with our IT Department to discuss the need for network changes and the feasibility of projects recommended by network users. The IT Support Specialist will also be required to monitor technology trends and makes recommendations on incorporating new technology into the company’s existing platforms. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Address user requests regarding software, hardware and networking
Setup and maintain user workstations and computer peripherals.
Create and maintain technical documentation and manuals.
Conduct onsite and remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions.
Help recommend new services and equipment for the company.
Assist in upgrading software programs with some off hour work required.
Maintain all workstations, peripherals and network security measures.
Monitor the backup system and assist in recovery when required.
Create and maintain end user accounts, permissions and access rights.
Manage and deploy windows and software updates.
Provide technical support for 200 end users.

Qualifications and Skills:

Prefer 1+ years’ experience in information technology and administrating Windows Workstations. Understanding of Windows Server preferred.
Understanding of computer networks and client/server technology.
Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals.  (Printers, Scanners, Mobile phone, etc.)
Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills required.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Associates degree or related work experience and certifications.
