Job Description:

  • Develops tools and metrics to evaluate supply chain performance. Automates wherever possible for efficiency and consistency. Manage life-cycle of reports by discontinuing those which become irrelevant or obsolete because of changing business situations or new, improved metrics
  • Compiles periodic performance reports, metrics, and presentations, and distributes them to stakeholders. Ensures data accuracy, and manages timely and appropriate distribution. Consults with the recipients of these documents regularly to continually improve and enhance their utility.
  • Performs and reports analyses and summary statistics as applicable on all reports and metrics.
  • Develops tools to aid in maintaining data integrity. Implements and audits for effectiveness.
  • Provides analytical support for projects, business opportunities, and proposals. Evaluates and ensures accuracy of all input data, and the validity of the analyses completed and conclusions drawn. Summarizes data and organizes recommendations in a clear, professional format.
  • Analyzes existing business processes and logic in the various functional areas within purchasing and inventory through personal observation and user interaction.
  • Reviews and maintains targeted branch inventories, based on set inventory plan.
  • Identifies / analyzes inventory discrepancies, performs root cause analysis and recommends / executes necessary corrective actions. (i.e. inventory transfers, cycle counts, returns, scrap, reconciliations, warehouse organizational efforts).
  • Manages the preparation, coordination and execution of yearend physical inventory reconciliation.
  • Attend required training, industry conferences as needed in the development and understanding of best practices of supporting tools and processes. Provides training to support implemented inventory management principles.
  • Continuously models the excess inventory root causes and measures matrix to eliminate excess inventory.
  • Develops new application, tools and ad hoc and refreshable reports to address current business problems or to streamline processes.
  • Adheres to the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) policies and procedures related to NIST 800-171 and completes all required CUI Awareness training, which includes collection, processing/handling, transmission, storage, and general safeguarding practices.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all information processed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education. Three plus years of experience in supply chain, inventory, operations or related environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, relationship databases and query tools. Able to analyze data with a high level of accuracy; bring strong business acumen; have knowledge of total supply chain management; have excellent communication and presentation skills; be able to relate complicated information in easy to understand language; evaluate, present and make informed recommendations.
